Our story

The woman behind our name

Our namesake, Kalliopi Mavronas, always spoke about using the power of words to make a better world — and about looking beyond appearances to the many layers of every person’s story.

She didn’t have the opportunities that lie before us. Through experiences of mental health, developmental delay and the hurdles life put in her way, she dreamed of becoming a doctor — but chose instead to put the development of each of her children first.

Kalliopi Support Services carries her name, and her belief that every person deserves the chance to grow.
